Children can finish off an exciting day at Vienna's Praterat Kolariks Kinderwelt. While the kids burn of energy in the 1,000-square-metre bouncy castle adventure world, the adults can restore their strength at Restaurant Luftburg with Wiener schnitzel, knuckle of pork or spare ribs. Just a few minutes away, you can find Kolariks Praterfee along the Prater main avenue. DSCHUNGEL WIEN is a theatre for persons aged 2 to 25 in the museum district. It's also the perfect place for a cosy restaurant. The sidewalk seating in front of the restaurant is just the place to enjoy a meal in nice weather. At the heart of the zoo, restaurant Kaiserpavillon is a beautiful spot for a rest and to enjoy breakfast, lunch or a even just a coffee. Café Atelier Nonja in the zoo ORANG.ery pampers visitors with exotic and international dishes as well as a view of the adjacent, modern orang-utan enclosure with its four residents. At Eissalon Rhino-Bar you can enjoy delicious organic milk ice cream and a view of the Indian rhinoceroses. Gasthaus Tirolergarten offers an idyllic garden with grill in addition to the cosy indoor dining space and serves Tyrolean specialities and Austrian dishes (can also be reached from outside the zoo).
Just a pleasant walk away from Schönbrunn and the Vienna Technical Museum is Hollerei, where vegetarian meals are served in a relaxed and modern atmosphere. Child-size portions and chairs as well as toys are available. On "Family Saturday", kids from 0 to 10 years-old receive one main dish free. A children's cooking class is also available upon prior arrangement.
Bamkraxler, a large restaurant at the heart of the Nussdorf heuriger district, has an indoor play area with children's pinball machine and a small library as well as a large outdoor playground with climbing wall and sandbox. From September to May, child care is offered free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m. "Family Brunch" is served on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents can enjoy delicious cuisine while their children watch free cartoons (reservation required).
You can enjoy a fabulous view of Vienna at the fully glass-enclosed café-restaurant Oktogon am Himmel. The menu offers seasonal and light traditional cooking as well as international cuisine. Little adventurers can explore the nearby wooded playground with balancing stations and a "forest organ" as well as the Tree of Life Circle, where audio stations provide information about the 40 trees.
