Prater events: Celebrating festivals
Events are held in the Prater throughout the year: New Year's Eve is celebrated at Riesenradplatz with a large firework display and live acts, while the Praterfest is traditionally held on 1 May. In summer, there's the Praterrummel, with fun and action for the whole family. Sporty types gather for the Skate Marathon or Women's Run. In the autumn, the Wiener Wiesn awaits visitors, while the romantic Winter Market attracts them to the Prater in the run-up to Christmas.
