With around 500 exhibitors, the "VieVinum" is Austria's biggest wine event - both for the industry and for private wine aficionados. Every two years, wine producers, importers and distributors from around the world meet in the imperial Hofburg. The wine fair presents Austrian and international wines of first-class quality. Vintners and vintner associations from a wide range of countries and the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) offer commentated tastings and discussions.
This year's host country of the VieVinum wine fair is Croatia, which is considered an exciting newcomer to the wine industry. The Croatian vintners have positioned themselves in Europe as an independent wine nation over the past few years and are particularly known for the GraŠevina (Welschriesling).
