Café Leopold is more than just a coffee house: Situated in the middle of Vienna's MuseumsQuartier, Café Leopold offers an urbane feeling, a view that can be admired and DJ line-ups until late in the night. Architecturally, the café is part of the Leopold Museum, which houses the world's largest Egon Schiele collection. During the daytime, MuseumsQuartier visitors relax here, enjoying coffee and cake or the "new" Viennese cuisine.
In the evenings, the hip café transforms into a trendy meeting place with a DJ line, concerts and video projections by Austrian experimental film-makers. As soon as the DJs get to work, the tables are moved aside and space is made for a dance floor. Café Leopold has a musical emphasis on hip hop.
Anyone who manages to snatch a place on the terrace in the summer is rewarded with a wonderful view of the courtyard of the MuseumsQuartier below. During the cold season, the terrace is converted into a winter garden.
